Article Spread
The goal of this project was to explore the different ways in which we can utilize illustrations to support content within articles.
Process
For this project, I looked through a few articles and chose this one about bumble bees. Once I found this article, my first idea was to use a hand-drawn illustration approach to make it feel as though it was a journal from one of the researchers of the study. For each illustration in this project, I hand drew them and then scanned them using Adobe Capture to upload them into Illustrator.
Feedback Changes
From the feedback I got on my initial drafts of this project, I added more elements that utilize the red color to add continuity throughout the piece, as well as being able to highlight different elements. On top of this, I added headers for different sections within the article to break up the space.
